Chutes and Group Separation
This seems to be a common, rather than a rare, occurrence: Leader moves a group to a chute; the leader falls down the chute and is immediately singly engaged in a fight; the rest of the group is un-grouped and all left one space away from the chute back on the original level.
This is awkward. Each char is excluded from the group, and unable to immediately participate in the fight at the bottom of the chute. Each char must be moved individually forward then down the chute to reach the fight the leader is already involve in (or regroup with a different leader and then move - original leader probably dead by then if a destroyer or significant fight).
Something seems off in this situation. Is this the intended process?

Yes. The leader falls down the chute, everyone else is floating above it. The party is broken and needs to reform.

Re: Chutes and Group Separation
Ummm, that's not the way it works here when the party leader has a levitation failed incident over a chute. The rest of the party is left unattached (1st of 1) one square away from the chute or wherever the leader displaced or teleported from. So, can we get it to work where all who did not fall down the chute are hovering on top of the chute as it has worked in all other versions of avatar which have/had chutes as a feature? Perhaps a code which makes sure everyone is on the chute before it checks for anyone failing levitation and falling down the chute would work?

On a related (timing) issue, when the leader of the party dies in the surprise round, the rest of the party is left one step outside the door or adjacent encounter area. Just as with the chute and levitation fail check, there should be a way to update the x,y of each character before the roll is made for initiative.

Re: Chutes and Group Separation
As I stated and Musicman confirms, when leader falls down a chute the rest of the group is NOT left hovering over the chute as DungeonMaster says.
Even further, when tp'ing from a different level to a chute and if the leader falls down the chute, the rest of the group is left on the original level where the tp started, NOT hovering over the chute on the arrival level. The fallen leader has no prospect of anyone from the broken group coming separately down the chute because they never even made the tp to the chute.
Please correct this oversight.

Re: Chutes and Group Separation
The chute issue is part of a larger issue with trackers not updating quite the way they did historically. Fixing the overarching issue (which will fix the chute bug) is a pretty high priority--expect some action on this one soon.
FWIW, I tried fixing this one a while ago and had to walk it back because it produced some really screwy behavior.. hopefully I have better luck this time!
