New server up and running!

So we bought a new server, which is currently hosting our website and JAVATAR itself.

This upgrade was mainly about three things:

Increased Security: The old server was running an outdated operating system. It was getting harder to find antivirus software that would keep the server, and those connected to it, protected.
Future proofing: JAVATAR was running with some older helper applications on an outdated OS. I wanted to make sure I could get everything running on a cutting edge/current OS. It took a little hacking (the good kind!) but it looks like I was able to get everything working.
Dungeonmaster Access: JP puts a lot of effort into creating the game data, and our previous mechanism (I won't bore you with the details) for his remote updates of the game data had broken down. This new OS should give him *much* improved access to the server, hopefully with seamless data transfers.

Hopefully this server will give us a few years of solid game time--we have some big plans in store for it!
