long pauses = bad connection?

yesterday and today the connection seems a bit wonky. everything will go just fine for about 3 mins, then you will have a significant pause (4 or 5 seconds) while typing in a message or even scarier -- waiting for your screen to replot after a teleport.

just now i suffered a mini freeze in combat that was so long i thought the game had crashed. it was around 50 seconds.

i have done about 50 pings -- and they are all normal.

just thought you should know.

I just did a restart of the server and am running it in error checking mode. I wonder if my main router is getting to the point where I need to replace it. (Your info regarding the ping makes me think this is more likely an internal issue...) Will keep you posted on any fixes/upgrades!

I did a tracert (at someone else's suggestion) and it pinpointed the problem about halfway between my location and yours.

today the connection is fine.

thanks for that. we don't want to be trying to diagnose a problem that isn't there.
