Christmas 16

Ho ho ho!  Christmas has come to the dungeon, and there are some things you need to know.

Hunt for Christmas Presents and Stocking Stuffers.  Keep them all on one character.  They won't do anything til December 26th, but they are the object of the Christmas Hunt.  Presents are worth 1 point each, and Stocking stuffers are worth 1/2 point each.  Whoever has the most points will win a fabulous prize.  Second place finisher will win something nice.  Third may get a leg lamp or a lump of coal.

Monsters:

Santa (and his 14 other incarnations) is your best source of presents and stuffers.  But he has been eating his Wheaties -- so watch yourself.

Topo Gigio is a naughty little puppet -- very hard to hit and very fast.  He loves to take shiny things, so running away might be your best bet.
Rumor has it that the little sneaky guy has a bigger version haunting the deepest levels.  Watch out!

Krampus is the anti-Claus, and really looking forward to kicking your front door in.  You have been warned.

Winter King holds some very nice gear.  But beware... his grip is icy death.

The game is currently offering free raises when you die in Xmas Land.  This is a temporary "feature," and will be going away soon.  Enjoy it while you can, or don't since it involves dying.  You will face con loss, even tho it tells you that it is a con free raise.  

Exits from the Xmas Lands are hard to find.  WoR will get you home.

Just a quick followup--rescues from Xmas land are now indeed free, as advertised. Alas, the mortician still takes a con point for his services.

I have updated several Christmas mazes to include more rooms.

I added a monster to the Christmas list. Look for a mouse, or two.

I spread around some of the encounters from level to level. IE you have a better chance of running into some level 4 Christmas monsters on level 5 and 6 now. This will help increase the density of monsters.

These are first steps, and only done down to level 6 or so. I will see if I can adjust the rate of regular monsters appearing to further increase the chances that xmas mobs will show up.

A new Uber 15 xmas area. -- this area is marked and should be considered extremely dangerous.

All xmas encounter areas are updated to reflect a greater concentration of holiday mobs, including level 15. If you find any areas that are particularly sparse of holiday mobs, send me some feedback.
