Any chance you can turn up the volume a bit???? I am old, can't hear out of one ear, and deaf in the other one-- but man-- it is really tough to make out the music here. I ran 9 an 11 for several hours-- really pounding it fast and hard. I ran into Leprachuans a total of twice. One had box, no item. Other had no box.
So you may be playing music-- but I can't tell for certain. More Please!

Humor.
I get it. I read this, then re -read it. It took me a minute.
Increasing the "volume" isn't as easy as you would think, but I will do so later tonight. Expect to "hear" a little better in about 3 or 4 hours.

I ran 3 chars at their quest levels 3,4,5 for a while and saw an unusual Hooded Priest on 3 but no sign there was a ST Pat's game going on. Is it only for players capable of running deeper

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
You cannot find the little green coated men on level 1, and they are vanishingly rare on levels 2 and pretty rare on level 3.
As you run deeper into the dungeon, there is always a moderately small chance that you will roll an encounter from a level or more above you. So-- the odds of finding a Themed monster will be larger on say 4 or 5, than on 3.
The much deeper levels-- like say 8-12 have slightly better odds of having a themed encounter.
Below that, you also have the chance to meet the little red cloaked men-- but I am not for sure you would consider this a positive occurrence.
Does that answer your question?
And hooded priests have always had a small chance of appearing on REGULAR level three. Nothing new there.

It appears that I did not fully reset the Four Leaf Clover. It should be doing NOTHING right now. Do not use it! I will reset its attributes after the contest.

Far Darrig
I just started running 13 and ran into Far Darrig. The encounter left my five dead on the floor. Anyone willing to share their strategy for taking down this meanie?

a discussion of that nature is best had on the player's forum.

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
Alright. I posted something over there... but here is my three cents worth (inflation) the far Darrig are pretty much ridiculous. I have seen three times now on 13... so they are pretty rare but each time they have killed/stoned at least once char and did a total party wipe once. I managed to clear this encounter 1 time but there was nothing in the box. The other time I faced them they stole a sphere from the sorc, and took their box. I managed to get 1 char out after everyone else failed to evade.
Do you think they may be a BIT over powered for 13? Any chance you could restrict them to 14 or 15? Or perhaps turn down the toughness a bit?

I will reduce their frequency on both 13 and 14. I will also tone them down SLIGHTLY. They are supposed to be dangerous. Expect to see these changes go live within the hour.
I am concerned that there was NOTHING in the box. Was it truly empty? OR did it just not have an item???
They do sometimes have a unique item that is pretty darned spectacular, FYI.

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
I just found these little guys on 14, and then the next run on 13. Did you increase frequency? or decrease it???
I cleared it on 13, and found a Diamond Heart.
My Q:
Is this thing worth points towards winning the contest? and if so, how many? is it permanently in the game, or going to disappear when the contest is over?
I assume since it is giving the exact stats you need to recover from a comp (3 or each plus 5 con) that it is going to de-age a bunch and add a bunch of hits. Would be nice if the game told you how much it was going to do.
Aligned. expensive to re-align. Bummer, nost.

no the box wasn't "empty"-- just no item.
on three separate occasions now I have gotten cheesy items from holiday mobs. are they supposed to drop things like potions of neut and such?

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
good Q on the diamond heart. i did not want to reveal its presence, but I was planning on making it worth the same as a four leaf clover-- and it will drop dead at some point-- maybe June-ish. I will give lots of notice-- a month at least to use or lose.
as far as Holiday mobs dropping 'cheesy' items-- this is not the way it was designed, and we are looking into it.

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
So today on 4, leps dropped a tome. A couple days back, on 11-- they dropped a potion of neutralization. And Fey Leps on 14 dropped something equally bizarre for me at some point-- bronze bracers or some such craziness. Don't recall when all this happened. Is there a way to look this up?
I mean if it ain't supposed to be happening -- then is credit for these encounters gonna be given-- or are the players just SOL?
Sorry if I sound like I am being whiney-- But...
Thanks for all the work you are doing-- love the game.

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
We are still trying to run down the error. If it turns out that the game is choosing table one instead of the item table I set up for the Holiday Mobs, then yes-- some sort of restitution maybe possible. Understand that the drops are held on a "scroll" of sorts. I can go back and look at any particular item drop, but it isn't "reverse sensing." I can't tell it to find me all the Elder Lep. drops that are not on the table. Does that make sense?
Is anyone else experiencing this particular error? And if so, how many times?

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
Just for the record: I have found one (1) St. Pat's Day item in total. All other St Pat's Day special encounters have resulted in either no chest, no item in chest, or a level 1 common item.

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
You will get points readouts when the game is finished. Most likely on Sunday. The task of compiling and tallying points is cumbersome. I only intend to do so once.
There will be no restitution for the lvl 1 drops. The way it sits now is fair to all, even if it wasn't the way I wanted it to go. Sorry.
When the game is over, I will fill the store with pots of gold, and raise the price accordingly. You will be free to sell them then, and take your profits. If you use a diamond heart before the game ends, those points will not be counted. I intend to give you til July to use them and will announce the actual drop dead date at least 3 weeks in advance.
Go find four leaf clovers. You will be sorry if you miss out on this golden opportunity.

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
Ah... as alluded to:
The four-leaf clovers haven't seemed to bring me much luck. My party is dead on 15 (trying to find a quest, and ran into back to back fae darrig encounters, then surprised by shifters running from them), and all my stuff is on my thief. I've been trying to get ahold of JF for some help but no luck so far.
Just letting you know what was up.

It seems that the 4LC sits in the same gear slot as Jornhald's Horn. Now if I want to equip my Horn I have to remove the 4LC. Is this what was intended?

Re: St. Paddy's Day 2018 feedback
Nope.
This is a temporary glitch that allows you to equip the 4LC now. Expect to see the full implementation (that will correct this anomaly) within the next 48 hours or so.
I meant to have this sorted out by now, but RL issues have gotten in the way....
Sorry for the inconvenience...

This issue has been fixed. 4LC no longer shares it's item slot with any other item in the game.
